Israel has two different climatic zones.
Temperatures range more in the south (20° in January, 40° in July) than in the center and in the north (10 to 18° in January, 30° in July). Annual rainfall is higher in the north (700 mm) and the center (500 mm) than in the south (25 to 100 mm). Sunshine is high all year round.
 Central and northern Israel
The center and the north have a Mediterranean climate with four seasons. Rainfall is moderate (500 to 700 mm per year).
Winter (December to February)
Temperatures reach 18°on the coast and 10° away from the sea. Rainfall is moderate (snow sometimes falls in the mountains and in the hills located in the north and in the center). The sun shines six to seven hours a day.
Spring (March to May)
Temperatures are mild (16 to 26°) and rainfall is low.
Summer (June to September)
Temperatures reach 30° and rainfall is nonexistent. Humidity is high on the coast and low in the hills. Sunshine is very high (twelve to thirteen hours a day).
Autumn (October to November)
Temperatures are mild (20 to 26°) and rainfall is moderate.
Southern Israel (desert)
The desert has an arid climate with a hot season and a mild season. Rainfall varies from 25 to 100 mm per year.
Hot season (May to October)
Temperatures range from 30 to 40° and rainfall is nonexistent.
Mild season (November to April)
Temperatures drop steadily until January (18 to 20°) and then rise to April (29°). Rainfall is very low or nonexistent.
